I had a feeling with Jeremy graduating from Marshall this month that things were going to change in the next few months. I just didn’t realize how soon and how big those changes would be. It’s not 100% official, but kind of is, that we will be moving to Pittsburgh in the next month or so. Wow?! I’m glad it’s at least within a few hours of where I grew up and where all of my friends and family are. Jeremy’s brother already lives there, so he’ll be our tour guide for the first few weeks. It’s terrifying and exciting all at the same time. If it were just Jeremy and I, I wouldn’t worry about much and just have fun with exploring a new city, etc. But with a child, you have to worry about what kind of care you can find for him. How do you know which daycare is notorious for being bad and which one is known for being the best? Charleston is not a big city by any means, so moving to Pittsburgh is going to be a big change.
I got into a car accident the week before last and totaled Jeremy’s car. Merry Christmas, right? We have a rental right now and are looking for something that’s all wheel drive. Ollie had a great Christmas. He got so many goodies he doesn’t have time to play with them all. I got emotional today thinking about leaving this place. I grew up here. I’m close to my family. I’m close to Jeremy’s family. It’s going to be hard, but I think it’ll be the best move in the long run. Jeremy will start out making a decent salary. So I guess I have to think positively and enjoy the ride.
